I think, Don, you're talking about the front duplex and Dan is talking about the rear duplex. (But I could be wrong.) Much, if not most, of the energy that bleeds past the V-bar in a tuned front duplex (or aliquot) system is absorbed into the plate. It's not just stored there waiting to be sent back to the vibrating string, it's dissipating into that energy-absorbing gray iron plate that we are so proud of. And I'd sure like to see that 300% increase in sustain time verified. Dan, do you really mean that if I have a unison with a useable 15 second sustain time that you can improve this to 60 seconds just by tuning the rear duplex? Pardon my skepticism, but...
