Taxing labor was added in very quietly about 6-8 years ago. That's when I changed my fees to include a "service charge" or "trip charge". Seems the fine print allows for the cost of transporting myself to the customer's home to be tax exempt. At least that's how 3 out of the 5 sales tax drones I called read it. Hey, that's a majority! I was considering charging $1 for the tuning, and $70 for the service charge, but I was afraid one of those napping drones might wake up...
