Dear Elian and List,

Universal Player became Classic Player which begat Story & Clark Player,
which is owned and produced by QRS Player Roll Co.
The circuit board of which you speak is available in a new design which is
much better than the old Universal. It just plugs in right where the other
was but is a lot less trouble. The electric roll motor and transmission is
just the same and readly available. The main problem I have come across is
the pouches. They were made of Perflex and have started splitting. New ones
come from the factory already on the little white ring and can be replaced
with little work. This company is located in Seneca, PA, and you can get in
touch with John Omiatek, the head of tech services, at (814) 676-6683.
Their address for snail mail is Story & Clark Piano Co.
                                        269 Quaker Drive
                                        Seneca, PA 16346

I will be teaching a class on servicing the player pianos of the
1950's-1980's in Orlando this summer at the PTG national seminar. I hope to
see you there.
