I wish to thank all those who contributed a funny or amazing story
to be included in my upcoming book, "Tooner Tales."

At the Dearborn PTG Convention, I received 42 more stories which
gives me enough to complete the book.

However, if you have a story which you would like to see included,
please send it along. I plan to have the book available by September 1.
The cost will be $11.95 plus $3.50 shipping. Send to Ken Burton, 1 Willow
Cr SW, Calgary, Alberta, T3C 3B8.

Here's a sample story, given to me by Ted Sambell who directs the
Banff Piano shop at the Banff Music Centre in Alberta.

Everybody these days is impressed with technology, me included,
and an amusing story, told us by one of our resident artists at the Banff
Centre illustrates this. (He swears that this really happened.)
The Dean of a university music faculty repeatedly applied to
purchase a new concert grand piano only to be rejected every time. A
colleague suggested he might do better by renaming the object he was
requesting and offered his help. The name that they created was duly
submitted and it was approved the following day. Here is the name of the
successful request:

One Digitally Activated Tone Generating System By Steinway.

So, what's in a name? Perhaps more than we realize!
