Willem,
     I don't know about the hammer line question and I'm sure this info is 
too simply and has already been checked BUT I would make sure the key height 
is 2 21/32" from the top of the keybed to the top of the key and the key dip 
for ....I believe you say a "B" should be .390....just a little more than 
3/8". 
     Now, those various hammer distance measurements sound real "fishy" to 
me. The line is just too crooked. What do you think? The quy that hung the 
hammers may have hung you out of dry on the backchecking.
