True. But I compensate by being VERY neat, clean and
nicely dressed. And I always ask to wash my hands
before "operating", even if the house and piano looks
like the inside of a dumpster (or worse!). That
impresses ( and sometimes shames ) them!
     Another option is to keep your nice looking tool
box in a non-descript cardboard box in the car. But
I'd still do without the permanent internal padding.
Gets dirty and can't be cleaned. I guess if I wanted
to look classy I'd wrap my ETD in a  swath of nice,
washable, blue velvet. Ooooooooooooh!
