>From working with Newton, I found his fingers could feel and measure more
accurately then my eyes and fingers together. After the first time, my
saying here let me check that to be sure, I didn't do that again. A
remarkable technican. A remarkable friend to anyone who asked for his
help. Newton "The single Newton" and I made a piano call on quite a cute
redheaded lady here in Clinton. The balance rail was warped and need a
shim to level out the regulation. After he showed me the problem, he
spent the next few minutes in conversation with the redhead. He was
getting to know her very quickly. I finished the shim, and a bit of
cranking on the capstans and that was that we said our goodbyes. Next
day Newton was "Sure" we needed to go back and do a bit more regulation
on that piano. Had to love the guy! And yes remembering the week he
stayed with me and the fun we had does bring a tear. Rich Snelson

> I'm forwarding a post that Newton placed on Pianotech two years ago. I
had

him
> in Lolly's death. He seemed touched that anyone would remember that.
Now
> they are together again. I wish them both eternal bliss!
