I didn't mean it that way.  I meant that assuming you could set the
downbearing as needed regardless of the position of the aliquots, in other
words by adjusting their thickness.

David,
If you thought that the duplex was undesirable and bearing wasn't a
consideration then I would say the best place for the aliquots would be some
place other than in the piano.
