Better Bass Scale for M&H A/Mike Spalding ?

Mike,
It's been several years since I did that particular Chickering. At the time,
I was either using Mapes or Schaff. (They be the same now.)  I do not use
them now. (Don't ask!) The current Bass string makers, I use, are Ari Isaac
and J.D. Grandt. Both, are in Canada and do an excellent job. They will work
with you, if you need something special. They can read a "Scale Sheet"
without screwing it up! They BOTH take pride in their product and back it up
with SERVICE! (An aside: BOTH are visually impaired! Yet, they make
excellent strings! IMHO, no impediment there!<G>) They both are very
knowledgable in regard to scaling, as well. I hope this helps.
