Removal of glue, from jack spring hole

Hi Greg,
Good idea. As I get older, I tend to miss the obvious.
I have already tried a soldering iron, but I nearly burned myself.
It seems to be a hotglue type, even although it is much harder than any I
have seen, when cool.
Someone else had suggested trying heat, at the same time as I tried it, to
determine the properties of the glue.
