Bass strings

When I said I used three twists on the 7 ft grand I used three full 360 degrees twists.  I think a shorter piano would require less (less total length of string) So much twist per unit length.
My last set (Arledge) I didn't twist at all and they sounded okay.  I believe he twists the core before winding.
