Buy some tools

I must say that I heartily recommend Carl Meyer's system. I have the
priveledge of living near him and have seen the unit demonstrated up close
and personal by Carl. It's certainly an effective and time saving system for
both whites and sharps. He's also created numerous other items of great use
to the technician, including my favorite hammer reconditioning tool. Carl
can be reached off list at cmpiano@attbi.com

I find that a straight edge made from aluminium is ideal, as it doesn't
weigh down the keys. I use either an old piece of window frame, or an "el
cheapo" spirit level picked up at the local hardware shop for a couple of
bucks.
