All, Although I posted a negative post re. S&S hammers, I would never use any other shanks or wippens for a Steinway. I only use New York parts. The Hamburg parts are not the same and they change to touch and especially the tone! Those darned hexagonal shanks are a pain to deal with! I am working on a tool to make hex into round.
