Baldwin M

I am picking up a 1947 Baldwin M for rebuilding next week. I am a bit familiar with the models R and L, and like the old ones quite a bit. I have tuned one or two Ms, but never dug into them. Does anyone have anything to say about them (they generally sound/play good/bad)? Pretty much just a scaled down R? Anything of particular interest in them?

How is a Baldwin (such as this piano) pinblock installed (floating, mortised, glued, doweled, etc.)?

Thanks.
