Used hammers for upright piano project

The _bore_ distance is determined by holding a hammer so the shank is almost but
not quite parallel with the strings and measuring the distance from the back of
the hammer heel to the heel of the adjacent hammer.  I would put on new hammer
rest felt before taking the measurement and allowing about 1.75" for hammer
travel.
