Grin... well I have been there often enough... tho thankfully no-ones pulled out the class tripple "A" whacker on me for a while. :) Conrad... in addition to your famed flame suits... perhaps you might expand into the whacker protection buisness ??? :)

I did it in a half-hour or so, the piano sounded as good (or as bad) as before, and it only cost them $40 or $50. They just use the piano for choir practice, and actually were not even complaining about the tone with some hammer felts missing and some dangling (I pointed it out to them).

Well, heck there Terry.... we all run into these situations... and we all know what we can get away with and I will be the first to admit that when you run into folks who havent even noticed that their hammers have come loose then its easy to wonder if they have lost any of their screws as well :) so I suppose band-aiding the hammers is about par for that particular course....

I guess I just dont like playing the game like that.. Perhaps I am spoiled, or perhaps I just want to believe we can all do better... and make "them" do better as well... "them" being all those owners what do the strangest of things to their instruments and have the strangest ideas about what instruments are capable of... but then maybe my dentist thinks the same about the way I treat my teeth... what do I know ??

Anyways.... everyones gotta make their own calls for sure.... I know we all are looking out for what we think are the customers best interests... and thats the most important part right there.

Cheers !!
