Jack, List,

I came across a 123 (about 6'4") last month that was for the most part
completely original and WELL used.  Someone did restring the bass section
with oversized tuning pins at some point in time.

Anyway, the sustain and tone of the bass section belies description.  It
was the most gorgeous sound I've ever heard in any piano.  And unlike most
pianos where you can easily discern a decay rate is taking place, this one
just went on forever.

Looking back, I wish I had timed it, but then again, I would never have
gotten around to tuning it.

Next time out, I'll make it a point to do so.
