Perhaps a distinction should be made between working with an impact hammer and impact tuning per se. I've been working for years now with hammers that have the bulk of their weight on the handle end. Working with such levers and holding them at the end of the handle provides me with the necessary momentum to more or less 'pop' the pin into a new position and at the same time give me the sensitivity to do fine tuning. It's not a perfect solution, of course, but it's a vast improvement over the conventional tuning lever. Just a few thoughts.
