One thing about charging by the hour - or for a block of time - is that it should tend to get the customer out of your face and let you get on with your work! I generally enjoy the occassional banter I have with my customers (actually, I often REALLY enjoy it), but every once in a while, I wish I had a big roll of duct tape to quiet them down!
