I too use Decals Unlimited with excellent results. I make a "squeege" out of a small piece of wood, slightly round one edge and use it to rub the transfer down. You will see a color change as the decal adheres to the finish, just one note though, the decals do not age well so don't order one six months before you install it. Keep them in a cool place.
