Stephane: Reeder Pianos in Lansing, Michigan does this: They glue the entire set of keys together side by side with thin strips of wood. Then they resaw them apart with a bandsaw to restore the original spacing and key width. I imagine some belt sanding and hand finishing would be needed also. Does anyone have a good trick to restore keys whose sides are worn, and who no longer have the right width ? I mean that the wood on the sides of the keys has been worn by intensive playing. Thanks to all. Stéphane Collin.
