We did some pianos, best result was on a °1950 very small Petrofgrand: nice singing sound, this strings have indeed a better inharmonicity. On a °1920 Pleyel 220cm we had the same nice singing sound but less volume. A °1920 big upright ' A Grand Berlin' was also very singing with pure sound. Just finished a °1902 Steinweg Nachfolger mod.A size : satisfied with the sound but again like the Pleyel not enough volume to my taste. I think in the future I only will use puresound for small grands. The main problem is that this string is more fragile than Röslau, breaks easely when you raise on pitch , specially on the loops, be aware when you calculate a scale to take certainly a 40% margin to yieldpoint. There is for the upper numbers a 'strong' version available.I usually order at Hellerbass Germany puresoundbasstrings, with the Steinweg some broke, could be possible they turn to fast when making the loop, they dont know exactly what is the problem. We made the broken ones on our own machine and yet no problem. I think thats all folks. Friendly greetings from Danny Boddin , Ternat Belgium.
