For the vertical backside cover, we are = replacing the mylar plastic shield with the speaker cloth used in the = grand undercover. This will provide the same benefit but simplify the = installation. Generally, the backside cover and the grand undercover = are designed to provide better confinement for the environment in which = the system operates. Thus they help significantly in pianos where air = movement is a problem. As a gentle reminder, I do need to say that Dampp-Chaser Corporation has = a US patent for vertical backside covers and grand undercovers used in = conjunction with pianos having climate control systems.
