Thanks to all who offerred help with my computer. It is fixed now. I hadn't realized that the Configsafe program (which came with the Thinkpad) takes a snapshot of the configuration about once a month so that one can resurrect any of the previously working protocols without having to reload Windows 98. It was so simple, yet, I had spent literally days trying to figure it all out. I had special help from one who knows all about these things. Jim Coleman, Sr.
