Hi Mike: You just want to fix some ivories and you're considering disassembling the player action? IMHO you should try to fix them in the piano. Each hose that goes thru the action corresponds to a particular note - the order cannot change. If you want to pull the action you have to disconnect ALL of the hoses. If you're the least bit uncomfortable about this, then don't do it. I have done a bit of player work and if I had to fix ivories, I would do it with the keys in the piano. If you're talking about swapping out cracked ones with replacements, you can remove them with an iron by depressing the neighboring keys and holding them down with a tuning wedge. I use a dremel drum sander to prep the key and the replacement ivory. Matt
