The San Diego Chapter is hosting the 35th Annual PTG California State Conference on February 15th to 17th, 2002. Warm up this winter with hot classes and the San Diego sun. Here are some of the instructors who will be there: Eric Schandall and Kent Webb of Steinway; the Yamaha team with LaRoy Edwards, Bill Brandom and Mark Wisner; Don Mannino of Kawai; Mason & Hamlin is sending Mark Burgett, Michael Zarate and Paul Manachino. For your shop work we have Nick Gravange, John Hart, Wally Brooks, Rick Baldassin, Norman Neblett, Kathy Smith, Bob Marinelli and Chris Solliday. Hammers will be explained by Helmut Abel of Able Hammers and Ray Negron of Ronson Hammers. Sharpen your tuning skills with classes by Paul Saunderson, Jim Coleman Sr., Dean Rayburn, Mitch Keil, and Carl Lieberman, and Teri Meredyth. Wound string topics will be covered by James Arledge and Paul Saunderson. Edward Swenson will explore restoring the antique piano. Richard Davenport and friends will bring Hollywood Squares to the PTG with the premier of Tic-Tac-Tooner -- where you can match wits with a stellar group of PTG notables for prizes. The registration fee covers all activities, classes, banquet and concert. If you are tired of thawing your ears during these winter days, then we have the conference/winter break for you.
