Terry, I think the 1/2 /0 is supposed to be .271". The sizes are somewhat approximate because of differences between metric and English and because of some inconsistencies in manufacture, so that one batch of pins can have diffences of up to .003" between the smallest and the largest in a set. On the other hand, some manufacturers, like Klinke, are extremely consistent. Yamaha and Kawai both use a 6.90mm. pin, which corresponds to 1/2 /0. However, the Yamaha pin is also very very slightly tapered. I forget exactly how much, but I think it is about .10mm. per inch. Paul Farrell wrote: > Good info Joe. Thanks.
