Hi Ron, In a grand with an H-3 Humidistat positioned 4 to 6 inches from the Humidifier we see a 3-4 hour cycle. The Dehumidifier is energized about 1/3 of the time. Adding an undercover and positioning the H-3 at 12 to 14 inches from the Humidifier results in a cycle time as short as an hour. We believe this is a reflection of the system working in a more confined space. It is our opinion that a shorter and more regular cycle allows for more effective stabilization of soundboard moisture content.
