From Newton's Brother

List,
     I spoke with Newton's brother Dave here in Las Cruces yesterday, and 
he asked me to extend his thanks for all of the thoughts and prayers from 
the list members and friends. He also said that Jean and Portia are doing 
fine. No surprise that he thought that Newton and Jean were even better 
friends after the divorce. Portia is doing well in school, and Dave said 
she's a "chip off the old block".

    I had only met Dave once, when Newton brought him by the shop, years 
ago. I couldn't even remember his name until I looked it up on the obit. 
He, well.... his voice and inflection is so similar, on the phone... it's 
.... well..... you know.


   Hey Newt! I know that you told me to "SHUT UP" when you last posted, 
but... hey.... it's time, you know. AND.... we finally had rain! Still 
raining, as a matter of fact. Perhaps you've had a hand in that, no? So... 
you can come home now. Even if only for a visit.
