Regardless of piano specifications and any know-how that I may have accumulated over the years, their style of playing may be perfectly suited to having 1/4" let-off. I would probably mention to the customer that should they ever decide the piano is not performing to their liking in the future, to let me know and I'll do what I can to correct it. Otherwise, enjoy. The one thing I absolutely have learned is: There are different strokes for different folks, man, and it doesn't have anything to do with what one believes would be better for another.
