Wow. This is a can of worms I've not seen on this list before. And, call me a curmudgeon, but seeking donations to charitable causes in this forum, no matter how noble they may be, is, in my opinion, highly inappropriate. As Secretary/ Treasurer of a service organization locally I spend a train load of time involved in the workings of this group - today as one of them what with a board meeting and then a bunch of paperwork the details of which I will not bore this group with. But then to check this site after five and see this I personally am very taken back. I suggest that an "apology" at the start of the message indicates that you are aware that this is against the policy of the group and posted this msg against your better judgement. Cudos for getting involved in a very good cause, but you know what? Conspicuous prayer in a public restaurant is not considered by many to be a ticket to the big piano shop in the sky. I hope you find this to be somewhat civil, as opposed to what my draft copy stated.
