This is a multi-part message in MIME format. ---------------------- multipart/alternative attachment Terry, see what happens when you don't belong to the Guild? Fear is = a product of ignorance, and fear of breaking strings is just a variant = of that law. I've heard of numerous tuners who don't do big pitch = raises; just bring it up over several tunings. I always tune at 440, = just get the thing up in one pass. Just Do It.=20 Kevin E. Ramsey ramsey@extremezone.com My question: Why is it that many "old school" piano tuners "tune it = where it lies". I can understand the old upright worries (although I = find they are usually not justified), but not a 30 year old piano. I = don't think human intelligence has gone up much since 50 years ago (I = can think of many examples - but this is not a political list!) - I can = only assume they were taught that way. Is that correct? Terry Farrell ---------------------- multipart/alternative attachment An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
