Glue(s) of choice.

I would like some guidance on this one.

I frequently come across loose hammer heads in the field..and I do me
'field'. When you come across one, what type of glue do you use to make the
repair?

Something tells me there is a 'better way' and method than the one I have,
up to this posting, been using.
