He says the error is pretty consistent throughout the scale, and should differ somewhat depending on termination type and quality. I would expect the rigidity of the beam the monochord is made from and the solidity of the bridge mounting to make a difference in both the produced pitch and "bleed through" - which may be tough to separate from system resonance for measurement, especially with something like the 2x4 stud I used as a base. That is, if the bleed through isn't system resonance in the first place. Ron N
