a Bechstein from DC

Could a strange hammer shape possibly be related to efforts to have the
hammer strike point snake around the agraffes in the high treble? Does this
piano have 88 agraffes? I have an 88-agraffe Bechstein in my shop now, but
all hammers are of normal shape.
