Seems like I have met this damper. While I would have liked to throw it so hard that it got to Denver, I didn't. Wonder how it got there? Strengthen the spring? Just to be crazy: try adding a fishing weight to the damper wire. Sometimes just some mass ... but why do the neighbors work, when everything appears identical? Maddening. Susan
