Family & Friends, Just to update everyone on what is happening with Roger. He has been in St. Francis again since Nov 8. He finished up the 3rd round of Chemo; Drs are not hopeful of it doing any good. It appears by the daily blood work that it did not. The plan right now is to go ahead with a bone marrow transplant even though they haven't been able to get him in remission. That is NOT what the initial plan was. They told us from the beginning that he needed to be in remission for the transplant, but they feel there is not much hope of anything else working, and there is not much hope of a cure WITH the transplant only about 10%. They are planning to start preparing him for the transplant around the 2nd week of December, and the transplant the following week. He will be in hospital all through the holidays. If you or anyone you know wants to send a card he is at Room 611 St Francis Hospital 1600 Albany Street Beech Grove, IN 46107 Phone number: 317-782-7367 All the cards and phone calls and visits meant so much the 5 weeks he was in there before. His spirits are down right now, so I guess I am asking for everyone to pass this along to anyone that may care about his situation. He really needs lots of support and cheering up right now. LOTS of cheering up. More later. MaryJane ------ End of Forwarded Message
