While I don't care who "wins" here, yes. That's what I've been saying. The
claims of proponents are contradictory to what I think I know about physics.

I can't prove that either way, to my satisfaction or that of anyone else.

Since the previous question isn't ever going to be answerable to everyone's
satisfaction, neither will the feasibility or reward question. Folks will
think what they wish, or believe what they believe by their own criteria.
That criteria very often differs from mine.
