Here is a good one to help us reflect on the
potential value of liability insurance. (which
I admit I do not have)

Imagine...a painter hit some device that activated
the fire sprinkler system on a set up stage with a
Steinway D. Remote mics, a very, very expensive board,
lights, speakers......destroyed. Several hundred
thousand dollars of equipment.

The show goes on with rental equipment.

The piano had a cover on it. It became wet,
and they removed it. They used big fans to dry the
room...humidity was very high.

This newly aquired instrument was just stabalizing
nicely...what a mess, tuning all over the place. The
keyframe is knocking in the bass section.

No visable damage, but lots of stressed out people
to deal with, and a report to write up on the piano.

Anyone wish to share any liability stories
or have comments.
                      Cheers
                      Dave Renaud
