I am currently taking the Randy Potter course. I've never heard a negative comment about the technical content, the level of instruction, or the value, and now I see why. I agree with others that joining the PTG and attending chapter meetings is valuable as well. I've never been to the annual convention (yet), but my mouth waters when I read what goes on there! As for aptitude, I didn't want to shell out the bucks for the Potter course without first knowing if I'd suck at it or not. So I bought a copy of Reblitz's book and a cheap tuning hammer and started practicing. I wanted to know if I could really hear those subtle beats. Now I'm learning it more thoroughly with the Potter course, and I realize that I wasn't using the best technique before. I'm not sure if this should really be the recommended approach, but it worked for me. Charles Neuman PTG Assoc, Long Island - Nassau
