 Good Morning.

 I serviced a 40 yr.old S&S 'L' yesterday, and the hammer flanges on either
end were starting to get sluggish..there was some sluggishness towards the
middle of the stack, but not like the sluggishness that was on either end.

does it normally start at either end, or doesn't it make a difference?

A REQUEST FOR PERMISSION TO USE YOUR POST

I am considering including all or a portion of the above excerpt in the Q&A
column of the PTG Journal. There is no certainty of this, but I need your
direct permission to do so, and as quickly as possible. This post, or a
relevant portion of it (nothing taken out of context, I assure you), may also
be slightly edited but only for grammar and syntax, not for content, and
perhaps for flow of the postings published in the column.

If you would as soon as possible email me back at pianoedt@aol.com I would
appreciate it. Please note your full name and chapter affiliation when you
respond.
Thanks much, and have always enjoyed your posts on the forum!
