Where does the "Quarter" grand come from? What is it's origin? Does it =
mean something in particular?

Also, with respect to Chickering, I know they were bought out by =
American/Aeolean in the early part of the 20th Century. I know that =
generally, they were very high quality pianos during the 19th Century. =
Is there any particular time when the Chickering went downhill, =
quality-wise? What about the many that you run across from the 1920s.

  Hello Pat<=20

    The 5"2' Chickering Quarter Grand you refer to=20
  must be the one I refer to as a 5" 3'. If so this is=20
  the 135 scale. As I said I have found this piano=20
  to be a good one.=20
