Using oversized pins

Hi Dave,
If you replace the pins with oversize, be sure and support the pinblock from
below, to prevent delamination. A scissor car jack, and two pieces, of 2x6,
or preferably pieces
of pinblock, to distribute the support, will do.
You could try CA glue, being sure to remove the action, and protect the
keybed from
drip.
The strings shouldn't break, as long as you don't overstress them, in the
opposite direction
of their bend.
If you look in the pinhole, and see delamination, or a crack, then epoxy, is
the way to go.
If you are really fortunate, and have some of Webb Phillips, Lakeone then it
would
possibly be better than epoxy.
You might even try, some sand paper, grit side out to build up the hole, and
use the
the origional pin.
