Hi everybody,

i´m new here and i never worked with mailing lists before. I´m glad to have
found this list, because i think it´s a great idea to change know-how all
over the world.
I´m interessted in the prices for a regular piano-tuning in several
countries. Just tuning without any repairs or raising the pitch, but
including tax and the money for driving to the customer. In other words: the
money which the customer gives to you after your work is done.

Here in germany i guess the price might be (in average) about 80 US-Dollar,
depends on the city or region (more in the south, less in the north). In my
hometown i take about 60 Dollar (all inclusive).

Who i am: i´m a examined piano technician (german "klavierbauer"),
selfemployed, 36 years old. I almost do tunings, but also sometimes ambulant
repairs (maintainance). I do not make complete rebuildings anymore, because
it´s too less money for too much work. So my knowhow about rebuildings is
getting less year by year, but the money for tunings is earned quickly. I´m
also examined psychologist (university) and work 3 days a week in a firm,
which does human resources stuff (assessment center and trainings for
managers). It´s nice to have 2 jobs, but it´s a pity that a piano technician
have to work on another job to pay his landlord ant to fill the fridge :-(

So, dear collegues, tell me about the prices for tunings in your country.
What´s about asia, afrika, new zealand, brasilia..........all the foreign
countries i only know from tv

If anyone from you speaks german, feel invited to visit my homepage.
