tapping new agraffes

The #1 agraffe broke on me during a re-stringing.  The replacements I
had were too big in diameter (and too long also I found out later). A
machinist friend checked my sample, ordered the correct drill bit and
the tap and it worked like a charm. I'm a firm believer in letting an
expert steer me right if I'm in muddy water.  The only caution he gave
me was to use a slow turning drill.  My cordless worked fine. Iron is
easy to drill.
