Sandblasting piano plates

Yes, a trial area maybe near the tail would be a good idea.  Surfacing
the plate back to your own standards, or the standards deserving of
this particular piano is the major question.  The sandblasting is
easy, just don't concentrate on one area too long, but keep the stuff
moving and it will go well.  Eye and ear (total face) protection is
necessary.  Don't open your mouth!
