how to find the type of piano

There could possibly be a name cast into the BOTTOM of the plate.  Pull the
bottom kick board off and look around the parameter of the plate.  Sometimes the
casting companies put there own identification on them.  It may only be a small
indentation on the casting where an I.D. tag was attached to the original
molding.
