free music notation software? (don't know where else to ask)

Does anyone know where I can find some free music
notation software? I'm not sure where else to ask on
the subject.

Basically, I need something that I can download for
free (not a demo version or anything like that) that
supports unlimited pages, up to 64th note triplets or
quadruplets (don't know if i need this though), double
dotted notes, grace notes, etc., and several different
time signatures. Everything I have found so far (more
than I can remember and I have searched everywhere I
know to search) is either demoware or is severly
limited or uses some weird notation format. I would
like to be able to import and export midi files, but
that isn't an absolute necessity. I do have Finale
NotePad, but it has some severe limitations that put a
damper on my musical creation abilities, and you can
only make it look so nice with the "pencil and staff
paper method" -- and I am not about to write music by
hand, scan it in the computer, and use photo editing
software to make it look like professional music.

If this is not a place to ask about free music
notation software, I would appreciate it if someone
could point me in the right direction.
