I am about to contract with a local woodworker/refinisher to make me a solid core, rosewood veneered lid for a square grand. He quoted me about $700, or about $500 if it were walnut or mahogany. That price includes a veneered bevel around the edge. I would think a local arrangement would be best. Are you near a major metropolitan area? Know any woodworkers? Yellow Pages?
