What I like is to see a key slowly drift down to rest position from having been lifted about a half inch at the front. That is what I would _like_ to see but rarely accomplish. I regulated a Bosendorfer for Ramond Leppard where I got a fit like that. Cleanliness and lubrication are super critical to doing a good job. > I was taught to ease it _very_ slightly larger than the pin. And this is correct with the larger .147" and .163 pins but when you get to .137" and smaller ones easing like that will cause key rattle.
